Our son was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3 years old.
His major issues were regression and loss of speech, loss of some gross and fine motor skills.
Our son is now 5 years and 9 months old and over the last 2 years and 9 months we have tried
various medical treatments and therapies to treat his condition with mixed results.
One of the issues that we were facing with our son in January 2006 was the heightened PICA
and some aggressive behaviors (pinching or biting).
This behavior was limiting his ability to function in his current school -- especially PICA.
Our son would get a good behavior card in school maybe once in a week (he goes to school 5 days a week).
It was very frustrating for us as we had tried different expensive medical and therapies
to address this issue and nothing seemed to be working.
Finally we came across an article in Mothering Magazine about John and his work with autistic kids.
We met John in late February 2006 and had a very good meeting.
John observed our son's hyperactivity and PICA.
At the end of the meeting John gave our son a low dose of XX and asked us to give him
everyday 3/4 teaspoon dissolved in 4 oz of water. After two days of giving medication to our son,
we were watching a miracle happening in front of our eyes.
His PICA and aggressive behavior was gone 90-95%, he was a calm and focused kid.
His teachers and therapists noted an immediate change.
Our son received "Good Behaviour" card for each day onwards for the last 3 weeks.
He became more responsive, started showing more emotions, started playing in a more meaningful manner.
He started following complex instructions which he had not done in the past.
This was the fastest positive response that we have seen with a treatment for our son versus all
the other medical interventions.
We continue to look forward to working with John to improve our son's condition
and are very grateful for his work with our son. We are now very hopeful of our son's recovery.
Thanks John, you have given us Hope.

My son, K, is a 6-year-old autistic boy.
Although he has been making progress using the DAN approach, as of last August he had severe headaches,
which some people suggested could be a seizure.
K went through a 24-hour EEG in 2004 and we found no seizure.
Because I hate the idea of K taking seizure medicine, I have been refusing to do this.
During the time he is in pain, he grabs me, pulls my hair, bites me,
pinches me -- I was very scared to imagine what will happen when K gets older.
We went to meet John last September and started to follow his directions.
K started to take his remedy. His headache got less and less.
His aggressive behavior started diminishing.
It is January of 2006 now. He has not had the headache for 2 weeks.
And he stopped attacking me now. Thank you, John.

I cannot contain my excitement.
From his first dose yesterday, we are seeing behaviors that are so NOT the J we know.
For example, shortly after his dose yesterday,
he decided he would like to be dropped off at school at the drop off line as opposed to being walked in.
Huge!!!! But we were a bit skeptical so we said lets try it tomorrow.
We talked to his teacher and asked if she would wait by the classroom entry
so he would be more comfortable walking on his own from the car to his classroom.
Today, when we got to school, the teacher was not there.
But he wanted to walk so we dropped him off at the line - there was no hesitation at all.
He grabbed his backpack and umbrella and walked right into his classroom.
He also had to turn in his library book and Easter eggs and a permission slip -
we were convinced that he would not do any of those things -
because of his anxiety and fear of talking to his teacher.
When we picked him up today, he had not only turned in his book in the right cubby hole,
but had also remembered to give the teacher both the permission slip and the Easter eggs.
We are flabbergasted.
When he got home, he was very hungry - not normal for him at all since he eats very little.
As soon as he was done eating, he opened up his backpack on his own, took out his red bag (reading program) -
took a book out, sat down on his own and started reading.
Again, this is not the J we know.

Our son D is 8 1/2 years old and has a diagnosis of autism.
We began treating him homeopathically through the guidance of John Melnychuk 10 months ago.
Our biggest concerns at the time were with D's behavior.
He would hurt his younger brother, hurt our dog and was occasionally pushing kids at school,
or pulling their hair, etc.
He also would put an extreme amount of pressure on his lower abdomen to calm himself.
Since we began treatment, D's behavior has improved significantly.
He no longer hurts his brother, or the dog.
He still will have an occasional bad behavior at school, but this has significantly decreased.
He will put pressure on his abdomen, it seems, when the remedy needs to be increased, or changed.
D is now able to sit and attend for longer periods of time.
He seems more social and interested in playing.
He is watching some TV programs, which he hasn't done in a long time.
Comprehension and concentration has increased.
He has become more independent; getting dressed by himself, brushing his teeth, etc.
It is a slow progression, and we still have a way to go.
We still get an occasional tantrum here and there.
But, I have to say, the quality of life has improved for our family so dramatically since our first visit to John Melnychuk.
