Office Information

How can I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, or speak to someone about the office, please call (650) 213-8380.

Office hours are by appointment only. You can reach my office manager, Jennifer, to schedule appointments during the week between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Of course, you can leave a voice mail anytime outside of these hours. Your call will be returned the next business day. If you are a client and in need of an urgent response, your call will be returned over the weekend. Please make sure to leave a likely time and number at which to reach you whenever you call.

We recommend that you inform your medical doctor that you are receiving homeopathic treatment. If you have any concerns about your treatment, please feel free to discuss them with John.

What happens when I visit?

An initial consultation usually lasts 2.5 hours and consists of a lengthy interview. Tests of any sort are not required. I am chiefly interested in understanding your (or your child's) main complaints and disposition. I'll try to identify your pattern of symptoms and characteristics. I will also want to know what you or your child are sensitive to, and what makes your symptoms better or worse.

Follow up visits are typically one hour, usually at one month, or longer intervals.

It is helpful to prepare a bit before you come for a visit. If you have a medical diagnosis, bring this information. It is also very helpful to for me to know about the pattern of illnesses or diseases that run in your family. Please give this a little thought before you come for an appointment.

Where is the office?

Our office is located at 3707 Lindero Drive, Palo Alto. 94306. There is easy access from Hwy 101 and also Hwy 280. The office is in a residential area, but there is plenty of parking on the street.

If you are traveling from out of town

Palo Alto is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, approximately 38 miles south of San Francisco, and approximately 23 miles north of San Jose on what locals call the “Peninsula.” Palo Alto itself is located near Stanford University, and both sit in one of the most beautiful parts of California.

If there is no traffic, we are approximately 25 minutes from San Jose International Airport, 35 minutes from San Francisco International Airport, and 50 minutes from Oakland International Airport. In the worst traffic, it can take twice as long to get here. Bay Area traffic is, unfortunately, quite heavy.

There are very good and reasonably priced hotels and excellent restaurants near the office. The Peninsula itself, and the Bay Area have much to offer in the way of entertainment and cultural activities.

Is the office child and disabled friendly?

We have limited disabled access. We can accommodate wheelchairs, but it is tough to transfer in our restroom.

We have lots of toys, books, crayons, and paper for children. Please feed your children, if you can, before you come to the office.
