John has had a homeopathic family practice in Palo Alto for ten years, with a specialty in treating “incurable” conditions such as autism,
cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and other complaints.
It is his particular delight to treat children.
A respected clinician and teacher of homeopathy here and abroad,
John received his Certification from the Council for Homeopathic Certification,
a nationally recognized peer-review organization. He has also earned the designation
“Master Clinician” because of his post graduate studies.
Born and raised in Canada, John was admitted to the U.S. on the basis of “extraordinary ability” in homeopathy.
John's background and training
In the early 1980's, the medical doctors at the Mayo Clinic informed John that Western medicine
could provide few options beyond life-threatening drugs for dealing with a severe form of arthritis from which he suffered.
His doctors suggested that he explore alternative health treatments.
On that journey, he discovered the benefits of homeopathy, and dedicated himself to its practice.
John received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in homeopathy in England,
widely recognized for its excellent homeopathic training programs.
He graduated with honors from the London College of Classical Homeopathy, a four-year professional program of study.
He received an advanced practitioner’s degree from
The Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies in London –
a postgraduate two-year program of study.
He has also completed a two year program of study in advanced clinical practice,
from Luminos Homeopathic Courses.
This course leads to a qualification as a “Master Clinician” in Homeopathy.
John continues to study with world class master homeopaths, among them, Dr. Rajan Sankaran, Dr. Divya Chhabra,
Louis Klein, Jeremy Sherr, and others from around the world.
The State of California does not offer licenses in homeopathic medicine, and John Melnychuk is not a physician.
Homeopathy is alternative and complementary to healing arts that are licensed by the State of California.
Under Sections 2053.5 and 2053.6 of California’s Business and Professions Code (commonly known as the Medical Practice Act)
John may offer services in homeopathy as long as he meets certain requirements and restrictions,
which are described here.
